I'm not about to ban people who post on spammy topics. Then again, if you know the topic is going to be locked, why bother to post on it? Regardless of what anyone's said, unless you are going to post the proper link, stay off. It would be really appreciated if a quote was brought off the topic into the Randomness topic.
And meanwhile, when I warn for posting in spam topics, I will evaluate carefully, and/or give verbal warnings. _________________

Yeah. If someone does say (like Homer said) "This topic should be locked!", that should bring a punishment of some kind.
But if someone gives constructive critism "I'm sorry, I don't understand what you are saying. Perhaps if you took the time to correct your grammar the mod's may not lock this".. that should bring no punishment.
None of us mean to backseat, and it would save you mods a lot of time if we (non mods) are allowed to give the poster a chance to redeem themselves (by editting the post) before a patrolling mod locks it. _________________

Yup, that sounds fair to me. _________________

The only thing is a lot of people would be afraid to post, for I am not very observant and I always look to make sure my idea isnt posted, but sometimes topics doesnt show on my computer and I dont think its posted, but it is, and I dont know _________________ "When I was born, I was so suprised I couldn't talk for the next 2 years!" |

Anyway, this shouldn't get too strict.
Then no one would post. _________________

Sometimes people get warnings for that, right? Even for people who post with a short something without words or other paragraphs. _________________ ~Liam Calothycos~ |

This is an example of spamming on a lock topic: Clicky
I even stated the rule and they still don't listen.
We should have stricter punishments. _________________

I'm with John.
I've been looking around the forums and there are a lot of idiots who feel the need to post pointlessly. _________________

I don't know. But maybe a day ban if they keep on doing it? _________________ [Citation Needed] |

sounds good to me.
maybe something like:
Verbal warning (if its excessive)
Warning~Red bar
Ban~ 1 day
Warning ~ red bar
Ban ~ 3 days
Warning ~Red bar
Ban ~ Week
Warning ~ Red Bar
Ban ~ Permanent
For the ban's do we do a full ban (site, forum and BTC) or just a forum ban? _________________

I agree with John (and Donny). It's getting ridiculous. A correct link was provided within the first response. That means that the topic is now unofficially locked. NO MORE POSTING.
Silicon, the post was absolutely unnecessary. It provided no help at all, and was rude. Pip, John was not backseat modding. He provided a helpful link, then reminded Silicon to not post on to-be locked topics without sarcasm or rudeness. Yellowdaisy, your comments were also completely unhelpful, as were Actionboy's. Liam, obviously mods can't do everything (just most things), so there was no need to ask why the topic wasn't locked when people shouldn't've been posting on it in the first place. Poison, I don't blame you, because you were answering a question, but generally it is best to stay away from these spamfests. And Simon, no need to state something so obvious, because you will likely end up in trouble.
Y'all should be glad you didn't get warned this time. _________________
