Comics, Male or Female?

*Disclaimer: This topic is not sexist, not intended to be one. Anyone who posts inappropriate or is bashing. Will be banned , this is a serious topic, and I am looking for serious people to talk about it.*

Now we see about 75% of comics are made by male members of this to, 20% are decent. So that leaves 25% for females, and about 20% are decent. But all of the Official comic makers on the team, are male. Could this show that men are funnier? or better at editing?

But, all I'm saying it's high time a girl works hard enough on her comics, so she can be on the Team, WE NEED A WOMAN ON THE TEAM!

Why does gender matter?

If we chose a female as the next comic makers because she's a girl first and a comic maker second, wouldn't that be promoting the wrong thing?

I'm not saying we shouldn't have a female comic maker, but i feel that the next comic position should be held by the "best available person" and not based on gender.

i feel very bad their should be a female member on the comic team but her comics HAVE TO BE GOOD. well what if a male made a bad one o.O

males arent funnier males and females can make it funny, i made a funny one with bob and nymphadora.

my point here is that Males and Females have the same comidity...

although im bad at editing i have a young mind that can speak of commity like my brain knows if its funny or not plus i really like being in comics

Well, I wouldn't say that males are funnier but, I believe that sometimes the creativity and the "stupidness" of the male gender makes a pretty decent comic. Females can do the same if they set their mind to it but then again, now that you think of it, not a lot of females even post in the forums.

E. Also, has it ever occurred to anyone that females didn't want to join CMU? I mean, (for example) take Pinkitypop. She has good qualifacations to be in CMU. But that doesn't mean she wants to be in it. Also, Rowena's comics are funny as well, her semi-goofy personality gives her good comedy to use.

Why are there less women than men with these jobs?
Because there's less to choose from. Also, we can't choose a woman because she's a woman. Men are (according to my knowledge) usually better with computers than women.

May I also ask where you got those statistics from?

My comics were awesome

Guys tend to like forum-y computer-y stuff more than girls. They're not 'better' with computers, they just like them more. When you have a higher number of guys who make comics, you've also got a better chance that a guy will make the team, since there are more to choose from.

I don't think it's about whether you've got a 'guy' mind, but instead what kind of humour you've got and if you've got enough patience to actually spend time to learn how to make a decently edited comic.

I don't see how it matters that much. I don't really see why people would care so much. As long as the comic team give us good comics, then why should we care which gender makes the comic?
