Have you ever been going to a friends house after hanging out with another friend, and then a third friend came along and said they wanted to hang out at your house, so you and two of your friends go there, but one of the origional people you were hanging out with elsewhere wanted in, but as you had just met them, you hadn't given your address to them yet. And of course since you are a lazy lump (Remember, this is just an example) you were too lazy and lumpy to go try to get into the right server, then give them the address, then drag you mouse all the way down to the map button, the you had to drag your mouse all the way back up to the my place button, and then you had to press your left mouse key all the way down.
Well, what if we could give a right to our more loyal and less lazy friends to give out our address to one person, and if you really must, and they don't give your address to the right person, then you can always ban the person who got your address instead of who was supposed to.
And since banning isn't a huge annoyance or deal, and most people aren't dumb enough to run around screaming "WHO WANTS TO GO TO MY FRIENDS HOUSE AND TURN ON ALL THE STUFF LOLOLOLOL" then you have no worries.
And another option could be to remove all address rights from everyone in BTC, just in case you went on a sugar rush spree and gave out rights to all the noobs in the park.
Any critiques, thoughts, contributions? |

it may work but you have no way in regulating who they give the address out to (maybe there should be a list of people who you don't want coming to your house. That way, if a friend tries to give an address to that person, it wouldn't work). _________________

That's a creative idea, but it seems too much work for nothing.
And unsafe. _________________ Unlike in BTC, repeatedly leaving and entering the forums does not bring better topics. |

I wouldn't like my address being given out everywhere.I'm always careful to make sure everyone has my address. _________________ "Common citizens? Wisdom? Is this some kind of a joke?" - Kristoph Gavin |

Jon, you wouldn't need to worry about your address being given out everywhere, because it would only be for 1 time, so 1 person would get your address, adn then when they come, if they aren't the right person, just ban them.
It's like when you find some person who hasn't logged on since before the big update popping up in your house having future shock, and you don't know eachother so you ban them |

the only way i can see this happening is if there's some way to manage who you give your addresses to.
This could be achieved by clicking a button, then a list of names of who's has your address appears. Once opened, you can "manage" who can have your address and who can't. _________________

I think most of you guys are thinking that once you let someone have the rights, they can give it out to as many people as they want and then you'll end up with a bunch of noobs overcrowding your house.
But once someone has rights, they get to give it to one person, then they lose their rights, and if a noob comes in you can just ban them so they can't come back. |

Its a useless idea in my opinion simply because i prefer to give my address to my friends but letting someone else say "Yo party at my friends house" Giving addresses to people. Besides some n00b would muck it up _________________ ^captincroc |
