Just a thought, I'm not sure if this has been posted anywhere before, but I haven't found it anywhere here.
This is mostly in regard to people who swear/spam and then leave immediately. My suggestion would be that the report feature (and the action bar (Whisper, view profile, etc) should be visible from the text that the user has posted in the journal, and the report feature could be adjusted so it could work after the user has left the area.
I don't know if this is even possible, just a thought. |

idk if this idea could work. Your wanting people to report others that are not in the same room. This would open up a whole new realm of trouble.
Maybe for the report function, you could go under the "citizen" tab in your journal and click "a special" button on the profile to report them automatically. _________________

What I'm saying is that if they HAD been in the room, and made the offence, the report could occur. Not that you can just report anybody you feel like. Like, if they run away now, you can't report them. |

wouldn't it be easier to report runners to the mods? _________________

If names were clickable in the log and came up with the same bar as if you clicked on the person's character, you could report any person who'd been in the room with you, even if they'd left. _________________

And do you see that as a good thing or a bad thing? _________________

Well It keeps all the reports in one place for the mods instead of PMed runners and Reported Rule Breakers... _________________

I go with Jurgen.
The name should be clickable in the journal, showing the Add to Friends, Give Item, Give Address, Report buttons, only if the person has left the room, and you try to give them something, a window pops up: "The person has left the room. Blah blah blah..." OR nothing would happen, when you clicked the button. _________________

Well, I'm throwing my vote in with Jurgen and Sheena.
It would be useful. _________________

If necessary, you could always make it time based, so that you can only report whoever left the room for a minute after or something. This is really just about keeping people from leaving without getting their just desserts (mmm...cheese ) |

That's not true, Theme. It can also be about friend requests and address giving, so it's not all negative. _________________

Well, since the topic is about the reporting I figured that's all it was about. But okay, mainly about that then.
(OMG, it's Donny...

My original thought were to help with reporting, but yes, it could be used for friend requests, and picking up profiles. |
