They are currently two words which origin is debatable: crap, and that d word. Both aren't currently considered as curses. (even if d is censored on the forum.) But basically, if something is censored, (the three asterisks), it is considered as swearing and reportable. Avoiding the filter by misspelling these words is too. |
So I can say ****, but I can't say the C-Word?
And the rest is ok? The A-Word, The N-Word, The B-Word, The S-Word, The F-Word (2X) etc.
EDIT:
Ah see it got censored! |

You quoted him, but did you not read any of it?
He said that d is considered okies DESPITE being censored, crap is fine, and all the rest are most certainly not fine. _________________

Of course! Since I wasn't so stupid to know, Rowena posts them up. She sees them while posting. And believe me: That barfing comic I asked Row to put up, she couldn't do it. And.........I think it would be inapropriatte from all that barfing... Nvm. But swearing definds to covering a words with * or the other use of covering. Swearing does match to cursing. Cursing is a little different. Cursing definds to saying what the h word (not h word I meant the word) Or the D word (Not D word) And putting God in that word. If someone swears warn them first. Just find in BTC Discussion. Look Reporting and find that answer. Ok back to the answer. If someone does it again THEN REPORT THE CITIZEN On either cursingor swearing 3rd time then ignore the citizen. If a mod is invisible and online, the mod will kick or ban the citizen. For more inforemation: Log on BTC and click BTC Law! Click it again when you're done. (I'd rather read the whole thing....) |
After this huge explanation (its bigger in the typing part), why isnt this topic locked? _________________ If you're seeing this, you're probably reading through some ooold threads. Feeling nostalgic? |

Because for some reason people are still confused about what's allowed and so they can refer to this. _________________

wouldn't it be easier of the mods made an announcement stating which words are acceptable and which ones aren't? _________________

No, because people would be trying to find loopholes. "Oh, this word wasn't on the list!!1!"
When in doubt, don't say it. It's not that hard. _________________

Actually you could because in the rules you can't try to bypass the filter. _________________ |

We're not concerned by curses being mispelled to bypass the filter, but words that aren't censored at all. |

Ya know what I have a question for you mods, why aren't we aloud to use the * thing to swear instead of saying the real word, that way it would be a lot better. _________________

There would be no way to know if the person only used asterixes or swore out loud. |
