First off I know that saying I like animé is akin to saying something as broad as I like Hollywood films (which incidentally for the most part I don't anyway), which ones you ask?
Well as far as genre goes I'm not particularly fussed as long as its fairly serious (ie. not purely jokes for little kids etc.)
So I've watched most of Studio Ghibli's films, Akira, the Animatrix and a couple of Ghost in the Shell films and I was wondering if anyone could recommend any animé series that are worth watching (subtitled or otherwise is fine)?
So if you have any ideas and a short description of what they are about that would be great, Thanks. |

*snathches oppertunity*
Since you like the movies, watch anything by Miazaki (Howl's Moving Castle, My Neigbor Totoro, Valley of the wind etc.)
Though if you want a random list covering many spactrums
Horror: Devilman Lady (or anything by Go Nagai)
Humor: Gintama (if you get all the Japanese References)
Romance: hmmm.....I dunno any
Action: hmm.....cant say it on here, but look for vampires in red with pistols, and a guy named Alucard
The "this is so sad and I want to cry": Shinigami no Ballad (you WILL cry on ep 1)
And lastly, Haruhi if you can look past how overrated it is _________________ Eh! why did you have to say that? Wait, why is your head missing and theres red liquid flowing out of your head?

Try Fruits Basket. If you're a guy who enjoys romance as much as I do, Fruits Basket has it's own style of humor and some action you won't find in any romance animes. The full episodes of the anime isn't out in Youtube yet but the manga is better and further than the show. _________________ Hans' Comics. The best among the rest. |

As Mac said. I would recommend Fruits basket. Actually, my cousin influenced me to look at the manga and the shows. They are both good. As the people say the books are better than the shows and movies. You can find the shows here. www.vidiac.com _________________

I thank Mochi for making me interested on Fruits basket.

Whenever I think of anime, I think of the anime porn. Which is...weird. And WRONG. Don't forget wrong. |
