I was thinking the same thing. It would be a good addition to the other new stuff in the most recent update. _________________

I third this action. All who agree say "I"
Seriously though, this would be awesome. It be like this fourm, which started out as a topic. Plus, then we wouldn't have to worry about deleteing a topic every few weeks. _________________ Wow BTC is back and all I got was this lousy signature. |

I'm really sorry to bring this up again after two years, but don't we need this more than ever? With BTC down and Mission 4 cancelled, the entire forum is completely useless except "General Discussion" and "Forum Games" (although the latter doesn't seem very active either).
I mean, think about it: "General WB Discussion" and the entire "Missions" section serve no purpose because no new WB games will probably be released in the near future, the Comics forum is almost dead because there is no BTC to make comics in, and the "Bedtime City" section is also useless because there's hardly anything to talk about regarding BTC.
If we want to have even the slightest chance of attracting new members to the site, wouldn't it be nice to at least have an alive and active discussion forum? With more threads about music than just one single "Music Thread"? And more threads about video games than just "the one and only Video Game Thread"? Since the "General Discussion" forum seems to be the only part of the site that's remotely active today, I think it would be a great idea to elaborate and expand it with sub-forums. _________________

I agree. Back in the day, the forums would've gotten spammed if this was to be allowed, but nowadays the post count is low and therefore the forum wouldn't be spammed. _________________

To be honest, I can't really see spamming ever having been that much of an issue with this plan.
The only problem I can see it is sorting the current forum into the new subsections, which would take time. Alternatively, it could be shoved into an overall archive section, and sort it over time. If it happens, I'd be willing to work on it, but it'd take quite a while to get all of the GD stuff into its appropriate places.
I'd certainly be up for trying it - anything that brings life back to the site can only be good. |
