hmm... i like this idea...
Maybe there would be a "Swing in vine" action or maybe a mini game 
Maybe there would be an explorer NPC and maybe something like the secret location hidden under some leaves and you'd fall down into a room you have to find a way to get out of...

I think a minigame would be good.Like with a game where you swing on vines.It could be 1 or 2 players.

maybe there could be a Fruit bush and we could get random fruits from it (sorta like the flower bush at the park)
Maybe we could also have something like traveling clothes complete with a backpack

A jungle would be good, but the interface isn't really designed for jungles. We'd find ourselves behind a tree most of the time. If there was anymore than 5 trees, it would just be crowded.
If Ioji could find a way around that, I'd gladly take a jungle in to my arms.
P.S: Riding animals = bad idea.
