The lynching bells rang out over Lynchton, and the populace moved from the bar to the lynching square. However, a few poor souls straggled behind. Ben, Rojoco, and Yummytummy all decided that a pint would suit them better than a lynching. However, this would prove to be a fatal mistake, as the burnt-up beam that served to prop up the remains of the roof gave out, and the bar became their tomb.
Outside in the square, a relatively apathetic group stood around, wondering who the last traitor could be. A couple of voices spoke up against Zeus, who was mysteriously mute. After dragging him from the wreckage of the bar, as he escaped barely a moment too soon, they saw blood in their eyes. A short stoning later, and the town was down a citizen, and also down a Mafia family.
Ben, Rojoco, and Yummytummy were autolynched. They were the Detective, Stalker, and a Villager respectively.
Zeus was both lynched and autolynched. He was the last remaining Mafioso.
The game has ended. The Villagers have won. |

Arguably this has been a foregone conclusion since day 2, almost definitely after night 2. I've made my position on discussion out of the thread clear before and I'm not going to reiterate, but it is definitely the reason for such a one-sided game.
Congrats to the Villagers though! Hope you're all excited for the next game. _________________

It's a fair cop, but society's to blame.
Good game guys. Personally, I think balancing issues largely came from the cult being killed off the first night. Looking forward to the next one! _________________ Replaying the secret location because I forgot all the passwords |

Good game, everyone! Jurgen, any chance of an action log for every night or nah?
This game definitely showed up a couple issues with what happens when out-of-game communication between villagers spirals. I never expected it to get to the point where forum chat died. Definitely something to fix for the next game but I had fun nonetheless.
Also, yeah, gotta agree with Zeus - the cult dying Night 1 was really unfortunate. Who knows how it might have turned out otherwise? |

Will write up the nights I have shortly.

Ah, bugger. It was a toss-up between Ben or Roxie. Made the wrong call. Well, I tried. _________________ Replaying the secret location because I forgot all the passwords |

This night caused so much chaos amongst the villagers. Like, unbelievable chaos. The chat logs resulting from this night are amazing.
EDIT: Night 3 was similarly chaotic when Ben investigated JP night 3, and Takeoshi accidentally gave Ben JP's role instead of the role of the person he was hiding behind. We all thought Ben was lying for the longest time until that got sorted out, because the detective simply cannot find the coward on their own unless they don't hide behind anyone. |

This was my first time playing mafia games. I expected a fun game with friends, but unfortunately it wasn't like anything I expected.
First of all, the game was very unorganized, certain roles had big advantages during the night (like the bodyguard being able to protect the same person every night) and it wasn't very fair. Also zero forum communication among the players that everybody already mentioned.
Secondly, the game was extremely long. I understand Take had stuff to handle, but I wish a substitute for him would have come sooner. If the game was shorter and more quicker it would have been much more enjoyable.
Thirdly, unfortunately some people have gotten upset/hurt because of the way some people played the game, making them not want to play anymore and feel bad. For me that is a really bad sign, competitiveness isn't bad if it is handled correctly.
Unfortunately, I don't see myself playing any time in the near future. Maybe if I see the game is more organised and everybody is having fun, I might consider joining again, but for now I'll have to pass.
Congratulations to the villagers for winning! Hope the next game will be better for everyone! |
