I think it's the other way around. Bedtime City went backwards to Feather Park. |

It's least likely that Bedtime City was named so because people tend to chat at night, when they're supposed to be in bed, because Mission 1 was made before BTC, the place where we log in to chat, and in the ending of Mission 1 the mayor talks about "Bedtime City", a (once) fictitious city in the game (that is, until the actual Bedtime City was created).
I'm inclined to believe in
bear = teddy bear = sleep = bedtime
I think someone posted that equation here already.

Before I was with Ioji in the park I asked him why he called it Bedtime City he said
