Two things for me to say.

1: We should be able to see the ghosts speech in the journal, I don't really see why not.

2: This one's a little more in depth. Why not make it so you could type in a certain code (All of which would be on the Help and Guides forum) that would allow you to make your ghost say/do something special. Like, say, if you want you ghost to insult whoever speaks to it, you would enter in it's speech bubble "Man, <citizen> is such a loser."

Then, say someone (We'll just use me as an example) looks at what it says. "Man, Silk Simpson is such a loser."

Or you could take it even further, with special codes like "<Citizenname1>" for the first name alone. ("Man, Silk is such a loser.") or "<Citizenname2" for the second name alone. ("Man, Simpson is such a loser.")

Maybe something where you could somewhat code your ghost, like "<Ghostrotateleft> <Ghostrotateright>" to make the ghost grow and shrink. This would make the ghosts much more fun to use, but the coding may be a little hard to figure out.

Oh, and please don't complain about "But n00bs would go up to you and say "hw do u mak ur gost go up////" because no matter what, n00bs will always have questions.

Oh and this could also be in the Hitchhikers Guide To BTC, or whatever it's called.

I can see a lot of problems with implementing an "insult feature".

...Many people won't see the funny side of it, and get upset.

The mods would also get a massive number of "blahdeblah has put my name on his ghost and it says blahdeblah! can you remove it?"

That can be fixed with a working censor filter function.

Oh, and this couldn't be just used for insults. And besides, it's obvious it's a joke if they're saying it to anyone, it's not like you can hurt someones feelings when it says the same thing to the person who set it to say that.

While we're at ghost improvements, why not make multiple choices. Like talking with an NPC. You click something, the ghost says the thing under that choice.
Also maybe randomizing answers. Like, if you come to an NPC and click "How are things lately?" you get one of the answers listed. You could put multiple answers under choices, or just multiple answers with no choices.

True.

Maybe it could work like a branch system, you click it, and you type in what yoou want it to say when they first speak to it, and then another bar appears under there saying "Option 1" which would mean the "Nevermind" or "How do I buy Stuff" for NPCs. You could type in anything, and it would appear on a dropdown list, just like t he NPCs. Once you type that in 3 little bars would appear to the right of that, branching out, and it would randomize which thing the ghost would say out of those 3 when you clicked that option. You be allowed 3 options, and once you click "Done" it would instantly add an extra option to end the conversation.

Yeah, it's a great idea. Actually, the message ghosts are nice, but they could be better.

I am reminding you Maviz is suggesting to add several messages at once to a ghost, but is too shy to post it here.

(That's usually what happens when topics get locked.)

Yeah, that would be pretty easy to make your ghost do. Just put in the face emote.
