Erm, no.
Way too much complication. Since I access WB from my relatives' houses as well as WiFi connections from hotels, when traveling, it'll be way too complicated for me. Sorry, but definitely no. |
Exactly. Which is probably whi Gio hasn't even considered this. I like the security of WB at this moment of time. _________________ ^captincroc |

I myself have used at least 4 different computers to get on here, maybe more.
I don't even use the original computer I signed up on anymore. _________________

Yeah, but they would need your password too.
How about instead of this whole I.P address thing, recovery questions? _________________

The idea is impracticle.
The whole IP address this is (in your opinion) is used to stop hackings from occuring.
That's great an all, but what if someone uses a laptop?
Then the whole idea is shot.
Even if you had a huge number of IP's that you could add, it still would restrict good users from using the site.
And just as Row said, only 2 comfirmed hackings occured last year.
The bottom line is, nothing is unhackable.
Even if we had saficticated, state-of-the-art iris scanner and voice identification system, people can still get around that.
So, how do we reduce the number of hackings?
ENFORCE STRONGER PASSWORDS!!!!!!
Also, don't give out personal information like phone numbers or any other tracking info.
Oh, and if this idea was implimented, the risk of identifiying other people's IP's and tracking them would be greater. _________________

Indeed. Its the best anti-hack of all. My recommendation is to change it every 2 months or whatnot. Use long passwords and act your password as you bank number. Sorted. _________________ ^captincroc |

Hold it John, would you like it if I made this thread an idea thread for what people want the security to be like, and the post their ideas.
So like, someone posts there idea, then someone else posts their view? _________________

What he's saying, is that you have to find "security" problems before you can propose solutions to them.
And i don't know what you mean by your previous comment, but the security on this site is a bit lacking... _________________
