Because some people can't be trusted, there would be a massive rise on the amount of pictures on the forums.
The server would likely just pack up and stop working eventually because it would be storing so many pictures.
It could probably store millions of text-only topics, but only 100,000 or so pictures (for example).
I seem to remember that each character is only one byte, so this message is (at this moment): 600 bytes.
If it's a 500gb server (for example) that'd be 1,789,569 messages of 600 bytes each.
...and I don't really know what I am on about so I'm going to stop here. _________________
