I want to make my avatar the maximum size but everyone says 100x100 pixels, but I dunno how to make it that size.. I usually save images in Powerpoint so does anyone know how many cmXcm it is?
Pixels to CM: 2.645833333

I suggest using Microsoft Paint instead of PowerPoint

Well, Paint uses Pixels which would simpler, in my opinion.

I click it and it brings me to the top of the page, and doesn't take the shot.

Use Paint.NET, GIMP 3, or Photoshop.
Try to stay away from MS paint (if possible).

For those who don't know how to take a screenshot on their Imac, Ibook or any other computer made by Apple company...

Q: How do you take a screenshot on Apple computers?

A: Do you see the key next to the space bar that has "cmd" written on it? Hold that and hold the shift button with it and press the digit 4 on the top of your keyboard (I'm not sure if it will work with the numbers on the number pad). Once you have done that, you will notice your cursor will have turned into a + sign of some sort. Click and drag over the place you want to take the picture with the + as if you are drawing a square over what you want to take and...TA-DA! Or when you press space, you will see your whole screen high-lighted with blue, when you move your cursor too a different place, it will highlight that chunk of the screen. When you click, you take the screen shot! You will notice that your picture will appear somewhere behind your window as titled "Picture 1" (the number will be higher if you took another picture) Smile

Hope I helped!

I just figured it out today!

Lolbear, you may also find using the "Grab" Application would do the trick in a more simplier way.

Not really, the shift, CMD (apple sign next to keyboard) and 4 function to click and dragging on what you want to take is MUCH quicker and simpler.

I'll sum it up.

To take a picture of the whole screen, press Command-Shift-3.

To take a picture of part of the screen, press Command-Shift-4, then drag to select the area you want in the picture.

To take a picture of a window, the menu bar, the Dock, or other area, press Command-Shift-4, then press the Space bar. Move the pointer over the area you want so that it's highlighted, then click. If you decide you want to drag to select the area, press the Space bar again.

All these can be done using the Grab application. Also my keyboard has no CMD key. If you have an older version, use the key marked like this: ⌘
