Not sure really, I like the idea and would love to help if you need it.

Why not make another improved BTC rather than fixing the old one?

I'd say any parts of the code that were lost are being rewritten better, and some of the other code may be too due to cross-dependencies. It's kinda hard NOT to improve code you're rewriting.

For most of your troubles, a good dose of a lil' community support and participation would do wonders:

YES YES YES to getting fans to work on games and other side projects within the game development. I can name a couple of excellent programmers who can produce excellent games and flash objects. Getting them involved is a no brainer. If you ever need beta testers, you always have the bug hunting team and the moderation team as, from my understanding, it's still very much a one-man job.

The money, I'm afraid I cannot offer anything other than some advice: Revamp the Garage! From my point of view, it is the only revenue generator that you have and, frankly, I don't think it has served you well. I'd like to see the community create shirt designs which are fresh and nice, the offer of other merch and wonderful things that I would be happy to part money for. I can guarantee that it will be far more effective than asking for donations.

Also, it may be hard to ask for considering your busy-ness however I would love to see you become more active in your community. I hear it's a popular opinion ;)

@Twigglet:
Yes, I plan on posting updates when I have some.
Haha, ok I won't go "all Valve on your arses" Very Happy
Mmmh.. do you think HL3 will be out before M4? Haha..

@Jonpatrick:
I'll do my best, as always.

@Simon:
Ok, I'll take a look at that.

@Warren:
The hardware failure affected just the server side part of BTC, the rest is still here and the various games are still around, bringing traffic to the site (but still not enough to bring profit).

@Lolbear:
It's not that easy to find talented people for free, but yep.. that would be a good plan. Also, I absolutely LOVE Adventure Time. Have you notice how Finn looks incredibly similar to the mysterious blue bear? Hehe..

@Warts:
That'd be nice, but since WB is about the story, you couldn't create comics knowing so little about the WB universe. That would create a lot of confusion about the plot.

@Traktor:
Well yep. I nearly died to be honest. Haha! If I die post something like "in memory of and stuff". I'll be reading it from heaven. Or not, I'm not sure there's Internet connection up there.
Yep, I'll look into the shop system.

@Constance:
I was thinking of recreating BTC from scratch. Maybe that's going to be the next BTC update.. hehe..

@Captin:
Revamping the Garage is a good idea.

@Funny, @Knyh, @Actionboy:
About getting help from the community and setting up a team to create new missions:
I don't thing having a forum where I request stuff would really help me. It would probably take more time to [explain stuff, request changes and fixes until it's exactly how I want it, rework it to include it where I need it], than doing it myself.
The only way of doing this would be setting up a proper team of talented people. It's not true that any free help is good: if it doesn't reach a good level then instead of helping it can make things a lot worse.
WB games are a little complex (a lot of animations and things going on) and that makes it already difficult to divide tasks among different people (for example, as it is done today, it's just one file.. so everything is done in there. Importing stuff here and there would create a huge mess).
Having people work on a tool to create content, instead, would be a lot easier. But creating such tool takes a lot of time also Smile

Thanks everyone else! Very Happy

Well, I have to certainly say, it's been quite an adventure with Warbears, and I'm looking forward to the new updates. The game itself is just so... unique. I haven't seen a game with a similar design that can pull off humor and violent, well-designed bears. Smile

Hope it turns out well, though if the Cartoon Network thing is implemented, I'm going to kill my television for not having it.

Thanks, Gio. I'd like to think both HL3 and M4 would come before the end of this year, but I think M4 will come first. I'm sorry any of us every doubted you.

I understand how you're looking at it. But Si and I had "Comic Team Meeting of the minds" recently, and we were discussing this. My idea was to like make like miscellaneous adventures about the Warbears, just for the sake of humor and some random action at times. Completely your call, but this is what we had in mind.
