Ok, this virus was from a download to a game, but there was no game, obviously.
Anyway, it launches a fake antivirus BS that claims if I buy it it will be fixed. Not dumb enough to pay for a virus, I come to you all. It 'deleted'(AKA: Hid) all my files, everything, even the shortcuts. I used windows search toolbar thingy to open Firefox(which had my totally beast Twillight Sparkle MLP persona on it deleted, along with everything else but the program), how do I get rid of it?
For FREE, please.
Thank you. _________________ Wow BTC is back and all I got was this lousy signature.

Buy an anti-virus that costs more than 50$. |

The post clearly states for free, like, manually. I've deleted a virus before, but this one is more complex then ones I've gotten beforehand.
I can't buy one because some BS child labor laws legally stop me from getting a laws. And my parents don't need to be aware of this. _________________ Wow BTC is back and all I got was this lousy signature. |

Free version never let me down before. That said, I've also never had anything like what you've got.
You may also want to google "Revo Uninstaller" and Uniblue System's Process Scanner, to try and isolate and remove anything (if you can find it that is).
The problem is probably that you have a Twilight Sparkle theme. Rarity is much better. _________________

This will be my final entry. By the time you read this I'll be gone. Pojo has run away with his hair. I hear it's knocked up and they're getting married. My life is over. |

Will it let you do 'System Restore' to an earlier date? _________________ The Bedtime Grapevine |

that or AVG. A quick google will give you command lines to run a full system scan from safe mode, which should sort it out. _________________

You could also try http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free
It could also be as simple as uninstalling the whatever the virus is, or if nothing else works you could backup all your files and reload your operating system. _________________

I can vouch for both AVG Free and Malwarebytes. Both have served me well, but remember prevention is better than cure so be more cautious in the future and don't be downloading dodgy stuff. |
