So I've been on this forum for about 6 months now (I have 1122 posts right now and counting) and they have a couple features that I think are pretty cool.
Idea #1:
IM/Messaging on the Forum. Like FaceBook chat, except in WarBears. Now I know, I know, "There would be spammers and too many people on." Well there could also be on Online/Offline function (for those damn stalkers who just won't leave you alone), a Blocking function (for those annoying spammers who just won't leave you alone), and you can only chat with people you are friends with in BTC.
Idea #2:
Be able to change your username. I think it would be great to be able to change your username, so I got this idea that there should be a thread where users can have Moderators (if they CAN do this) change a user's username. But users will only be allowed to change it once a month (or longer/shorter depending on the Moderators' preferences)
What do y'all think? |

1)What's wrong with using a more reliable, established IM service already implemented out there? I'd rather Ioji focus on making his ideas come to life, than spend time fixing post-launch bugs from this idea.
2) Moderators manage user problems such as reports and can ban an IP or username.
Administrators manage the forum overall and can create/delete accounts. If users were given the opportunity to have the staff change their usernames by request, problems such as banning/ giving warnings to rulebreakers will be that much more complicated and confusing. Imagine the chaos that would entail.
But thank you for suggesting this.
