I was a British colony. When I write this word colour(British),i see the green wavy line on the bottom means wrong spelling. But when i write color(American),it is a right spelling.
Ioji pick American spelling. So choose what type of English language you want(means poll). The most ones will be the type of English language to use.
PS:I like the pronounce dance in American than British |

Ioji didn't "pick American spelling"; it's probably just a phpbb thing. Or your computer.
Personally, I pick and choose; for instance, I use 'ou' over 'o' (colour, honour, neighbour, favourite) but I use 's' and not 'z' (customize) and I don't use the 're' (center), exception being theater/theatre (theater for location, theatre for the art).
Also, congratulations on attaining the title of "colony"! _________________

Ehh...I feel like a freak of nature. I type "colour" and "humour", and "customize", and center. But if it's an essay, I type centre.
So what am I?
PS and I mostly speak American (aluminum as alu-min-num) _________________

British.
Who spells "Mum" with a "O" damn it! And it's colour, not color! And trousers instead of pants! And armour instead of armor! I think you get the idea... Americans are friendly but I just don't like American, English.
Spelling cow HAS to try correct the British spelling in this post, doesn't it? But no suree, no way am I going to let Spelling cow change it! |

I couldn't care less. I speak a little bit of both, though I mainly just write "the American way", because that's the way I've learned. I believe my speech is more to the American side as well, but I don't know. |

Neither spelling/speaking manner really bothers me at all.
I use American spellings/pronunciations only, though. I don't even know anyone (in real life) that uses the British version. Because I live in a small hick town. :( _________________ He/him or they/them |

America is just a mix of British and Irish from a long time ago. Any O'Neill on this website? _________________ Losing more ratings than the labour party its warbears.com |

I like the American way With color/colour, I think it's just easier to use the one with shorter spelling |
