as a lot of people get hacked |
I'd love to see your statistics
I must've seen about two genuine accounts in the last year, and neither were really 'hacking' they were just siblings/friends going on accounts after the user told them their password, which is plain silly |
Ummm...I thought they did, my mistake. |

If you're going camping or something and you don't want to feel uneasy, it would be nice to lock your account to only your computer being able to access it, like a switch in the edit profile thing, though it would be a pain to have to keep getting your Sig re-approved. |

That's what the secondary IP is for. |
What happens if that the second computer got a virus and brokedown? _________________ |

This should only be useable for a switch on your profile that allows either your current IP to be able to log you in on, or to unchekk it if you don't care what computer you log in on.
Hacking never really happens anyways, and it's not like there's much to lose. |

Since forums and websites get your IP anyway, maybe it could give a notice if your account is being used from a different IP. If you answer a security question correctly, you get access. |
Agreed. |

That doesn't answer my question... Seciruty questions can be anything now...
Also cosider this senario for me against the question suggestion. Consider I was to move back to Ireland, taking my mac with me. When I log into WB every time, I'll get this 'question'. What is the action to that? _________________ ^captincroc |

Maybe not so much of a question, just a identification test, that only you yourself can answer. (Personal maybe, I don't know!). Unless someone has been spying on you 24/7 all your life. =P. |

Off topic: Captin, you have serious typo today. You said "senario" "ti8me" and "cosider"
It doesn't necessarily be a long one, you can have as many questions as you want.
Remember, this is only for security. |

Against?
I have the right to also bring up that the WB forum is one of the most sucure ones I have ever seen. I don't think it needs tightening for the sake of one occourence that was a mistake. _________________ ^captincroc |

Ugh, more typos.
And I have heard a lot of people getting hacked and making new accounts, actually.
Captin, I think you are trying to say you like this idea. You have shared what you think, now you can get off the thread, I am not arguing anymore. |

Who says I'm arguing? And no. I shan't "leave" the topic as I have been the most realistic on here... If you think the website is in-secure, then leave. Simple. _________________ ^captincroc |
