I spent the entire weekend trying to install Left 4 Dead 2. It had finally finished downloading today, and I got to play it once before it crashed. Now I have to wait another 2 days until it downloads and I can play any steam games again. DAMN IT VALVE, FIX YOUR [insert demeaning describing word here] GAMES!

Left 4 Dead 2 works perfectly. So it's probably your fault in that your PC can't run it or something.

Rather than jumping to reinstalling it did you try the usual troubleshooting? Check your specs meet the requirements too.
Verify game files (right click > Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of game cache)
Update graphics card drivers! (Steam > Check fo video card driver updates)
Check for any error messages and look up said error on support forums
Check support forums for anyone experiencing the same issue.
Reinstalling should be the last thing you do as it's usually not necessary.

(Thank God I remembered this topic, even though I'm making a super bump)
To say the least, I'm sad and pissed. This whole week has been simply awful in many ways (and good in others). Long story short: EVERY SINGLE bad thing I've worried about is basically happening. Unnecessary drama and arguments, friend found out his girlfriend is planning on breaking up with him, friendship groups getting ripped apart, people being depressed. Every single bad thing happening in one week. I feel awful to say the least. |
