Ever needed help with homework but your friends or parents can't/won't help you? Ever not understood something properly even AFTER somebody helping you? Well, this is the right place to be. I, along with other members of the community, will try and help you with this.
It'd also help if you gave us a date it would be due on and any other information we might require. Feel free to ask us how to do something or tell us something you don't quite understand and we'll help you to the best of our ability
NOTE: We don't DO homework for people, but we help them with it
NOTE 2: It doesn't have to be school work, but we probably won't be able to answer questions like the best way to build a shed or whatever
NOTE 3: Anybody should feel free to give or ask for help at any time on this thread. |

That's because the "||" make any negative numbers between them positive. So the -2 is immediately 2.

It wouldn't be 2 or -2, it'd be 2 or -6...
|x+2| = 4
x+2 = 4 OR x+2 = -4
x = 2, x = -6
Alternatively:
(x+2)^2 = 4^2
x^2 + 4x + 4 = 16
x^2 + 4x - 12 = 0
(x+6)(x-2) = 0
x = 2, -6
It'd only be 2 or -2 if it was |x|+2 = 4
