To help reduce the amount of topics in this forum, the bug hunters have decided to set a few guidelines.
This guide has been split into many different sections. Make sure to read and understand these guidelines before posting in this forum.
Posting in existing topics When you post something in an existing topic, please make sure:
- That the post in relevant to that particular topic
- It contributes to the finding/fixing/understanding of that particular glitch/topic.
Before you start a new topic, make sure there's no other topics about it. The simple "search" feature is great for that.
Now that you've searched and came up with nothing, make sure you've done the following things before posting:
Now if you'd exhausted all of the previous steps, you may make a new topic (make sure its glitch/bug related). Make sure to include the following:
Topic: a short description that briefly explains the glitch.
Problem: A general description of the glitch. If you're having trouble describing it, try taking a screenshot (see "How to take a screenshot")
My Browser: (ie Opera, Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc.)
Degree of Severity: On a scale of one to five, how bad is it? (One bad, five horrible)
Ask around: Has this happened to anyone else? Can you recreate it? Who does this glitch affect?
Did you try fixing it yourself?: Most of the time a glitch can be fixed by clearing your cache or changing web browsers.
Since the guide can't possibly cover everything, remember these few key points:
- Use common Sense
- When in doubt, ask a Bug Hunter
- Don't be afraid to PM or talk to a Bug Hunter directly

To clarify, we reposted this topic so
1. We have a copy that all bug hunters can edit and fix (because it used to be written by John and omg that was a pain to edit)
2. Our team info is more accurate.
3. Links were broken and stuff. Plus we have more relevant replies now. _________________ ^captincroc |
