Working with this flawed view. Even if 'God made the Laws of Physics' it was still the scientists who discovered them, and told the world about them. On the other hand what you are saying is more like the woman in the Mona Lisa getting the credit for Da Vinci's painting. |

WTF. Stay on topic!
I was wondering, does the winner of this beary get a collab award.
If so then the person who created the avy and sig should get the prize, not the person who uses it. |

When I suggested this, I said both should get a collab, so I would assume they both would. |

Hmmm. Maybe in a case where someones avatar was made by them but their sig made by someone else (or the other way around) but I think the creators should get all the credit. |

Definitely agreeing with Roj there. Otherwise people could win for doing nothing but advertising someone else's work. _________________ Twitter |

It's more like giving the Pope Julius the credit for the Sistine Chapel instead of Michelangelo. _________________ "If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe."

Yeeeeah, I figured this when it came about. I mean like my avatar is nice and swanky but the person who made it isn't even on this forum. If you're going to accept submissions, I woulda' thought it would be common sense that these were original pieces created by their submitters.
Hell, why not have an avatar and sig contest while you're at it? _________________ ^captincroc |

I would credit whoever made the avatar/signature also. If they're off site though, hmm... bit of a grey area there. Probably best to not think about it into the very fine details. |

It's pretty simple, the guy with the best avatar and signature combination wins the best avatar and signature combination award regardless of whether the avatar is offsite, was requested by them but not edited, or the signature quoted someone else's phrase. The guy who made a good avatar for someone else during their editing career gets the Guy who made a good avatar during their editing career award and the guy who said that funny phrase I quoted and put in my signature gets the Guy who said the funniest phrase award and these don't exist so boohoo grey areas my butt.
Of course extra credit is always welcome, I wouldn't mind if another three guys won this award for whatever reason but the one with the avatar and signature HAS to win because geez it's in the title _________________ TUB THREAD.

I've made my debatable decision.
The winner will consist of the person who has the avatar and signature.
Now because of this, I have a feeling people are going to ask for the "best" avatars and signatures from great editors. So to prevent that (or I guess it could prevent it), this category will not come with a collaboration award.
If it was for whoever made the avatar or signature, then yeah the collab award would be given, but this category is iffy and it's just not worth a collaboration award, especially if you made the avatar yourself.
Also, I'd like to point out that the credit does mainly go to the person who has the avatar and signature, because they ARE the person who wanted that avatar/signature, they just didn't have the capability of making it themselves, but they were the one with the vision.
If there's any comments, concerns, or questions referring to this, please tell me, I want to make this as fair as possible. _________________

Well to use one example of many, the best house winner didn't actually create the items in it, but wanted them to be arranged that way and had what you call the "vision". I don't see what makes it any different to this category so if a collab award is given there then the same should happen here.
Also why would you decide to prevent people from asking for the best stuff from great editors, it's not like they're usually going around asking for half-assed attempts and it's not like it isn't bound to make the forum look fancier haha _________________ TUB THREAD.
