He was in Mission 3 (The starting scene). But he was also mentioned in the 'Bartender's Diary', the last page as you will know if you pass it.

So, what is he really? Discuss.

So okay, Dr. Xam has nothing to do with Fishmen, and if he does, his agents wouldn't been killed by the Fish Sentry's and he wouldn't send the Fishmen to death with ridicilious options of Gun VS. Meele weapon figth. He has to do something Brian Sad, using him as a weapon with his plant controlling power, tougth It didn't made sense, as in M2 with the man with a huge sword looked the same as Brian. He also has to do something with Darkcore corporation, if you talked with Quizo, you should hear in one of his lines that the robots came from Darkcore corp. and in SL 'secret' room you can see that the same design is with the Robot there.

So yeah, this is what I can say.

What I thought:

[Dr. Xam created the fishmen, who went out of control (or were purposely let loose to test their abilities), which is why the fishmen went against Dr. Xam's agents. The Fishmen have their own commander, and seems pretty intelligent but zero tolerance to "meat shield" type soldiers. Brian Sad is another one of Dr. Xam's experiments, which he was given some sort of plant powers, but without knowing. (You know, freak prototype experiments and such. A BIT like portal)]
