Hey guys, how's it going?
We are looking into ways of supporting WB.
The server costs aren't exactly low and having more money would mean being able to to hire a small team to develop BTC and missions a lot faster..
One of the possibilities is having a premium account option, with a small yearly fee. The basic account would stay like it is, while the premium would add some features.
So the question is, if we had a premium account, what features would you would like to have? _________________ The creator of Warbears

Well, for a premium account I'd like some clothes with... shexier designs on them. The clothes we have now are just colours or whatever.
Your shirt (and Eg's) is an example of what I mean. _________________ Twitter |

Images not needing to be validated?
That'd be useful.
If you've got the sense to wean money into the Internet you can surely judge when an image is too big to put in the Forum.
I'd pay for this.
And the clothes.
And a top hat. |

Other actions, other locates, other items, other clothes, other forum (like a special forum for the premium accounts), other missions, other mini-games, more NPCs. Possibly more ways to earn money than the missions and mini-games, like a job. For example, selling comics, making commercial for something which can be put up on the TV. The commercials could be about a game on the forum, comics, newspaper (TAQ, for E.g) active competitions etc. That would give huge opportunities for people to do something rather than just break the rules. There could be other jobs like selling hotdogs in the park.
If these would be included in the premium account, then lots of people would make a premium account I think. I would definitely. _________________

Hm, premium accounts, *sigh*. =(
Anyway, contribute time.
Multi coloured shirts perhaps? And a 7x7 house? |

I agree with Ninja's sigh :(
I think exclusive locations and forums would be going a bit too far towards the Club Penguin edge of the spectrum.
Premium Members could have new designs for clothes and possibly accessories if that ever happens. Maybe an exclusive BTC item. Bigger houses and different furniture are good ideas too. _________________

The ability to buy credits, perhaps?
So many people complain about lack of money, I'm sure some of them would pay for some more.
If you want only premium account ideas, perhaps a credit bonus with it, 5000 or so? _________________

That depends how much you'll have to pay for the premium. _________________

I agree with Knyh. I understand that you guys need the money to support this site and all it not really going too well, but I really don't want to pay money to have extra features/not being able to do things normal members can't. I know some people who would be willing to, but lots of us can't support the extra money.
If you guys are looking towards premium accounts, I suggest you have credit bonuses to all are willing to pay. Or have in the shop bonuses for people to buy via paypal or cell phone. And when people do buy this bonus, they could get a headline by their name like "Supporter of Warbears" or something on the lines of that, showing that they contributed. _________________

Perhaps the account comes with a catalogue item or something, maybe one for each shop.
They can then order what they want, when they want, without waiting for the shops to rotate.
Back to credit bonus's, maybe 25 credits per day rather than 10. _________________

Hmmm, I'm not a big fan of this pay-thingy.
I say: A trophy, a bigger house and some exclusive stuff. |

I wouldn't mind something along the lines of what Knyh and Surfer have said - I don't really want to pay to get exclusive features, although it could bring more members to the site. _________________ I'm old now :/ |

Ioji, even though this idea is still in development, what sort of price range are you thinking of? |

I know you're trying to get funds but I'm not so keen on exclusive things such as locations and items (and forums even). Shirt designs, while it may not be the most appealing thing in the world seems to be the most reasonable exclusive things. I like the way that sub-advanced things are free to use and I'd suggest keeping it like that. Actually, if you can find a way to fund this stuff in another way other than premium accounts, that would be even better.

Yes. If any kind of premium content is being offered the only price which I think would be reasonable is around <£2.50 (€3.00 or $1.50). Anything higher and I think it would become to ridiculous.
E: Not only that, Gio but you haven't seemed to be trying to get more money from things like merchandise. Sort out the Garage with a new merch shop (even getting members to help with designs would be lovely) because I think you haven't put enough thought into it. I know that a fresh design for a T-shirt and, if marketed correctly, you could get a little bit of cash. _________________ ^captincroc |
