2009 was a really interesting year. So many events happened, good and bad:
- Death of Michael Jackson
- Death of Farah Fowcett
- Death of Theodore Kennedy
- Death of Billy Mayes
- Balloon Boy 
- Jon and Kate Gosselin's divorce
- Tiger Woods lost a lot of respect.
- Kanye West lost a lot of respect as well.
- Introduction of Lady Gaga in the music industry.
- Election of President Barack Obama
- Twitter was introduced.
- Sullenburger's landing in the Hudson River
- Introduction of Susan Boyle
- Sarah Palin gained popularity

Would be the most significant of that list. Honestly, I don't think the rest will have much of a lasting impact.

Arrests, deaths and music.
Mostly deaths though and most of those were unexpected |

| Well, personally 2009 was a year full of disappointments for me. Thus my new year resolution: No expectations, no rigid plans, etc. so I wont be disappointed like that again. |
