Discuss everything about guitars (and probably bass)

• Guitars
• Gears/Amplifiers
• Song tips
• Theory
• Etc

I got a crappy little Epiphone Les Paul almost a year ago, but lessons are expensive so I don't really know how to play. I mean, I know basic chords and how to play a few songs (not like Smoke on the Water or things like that), but if someone asked I wouldn't say I know how to play guitar.

EDIT: That's a nice guitar. My brother's got an Ibanez Gio, and I prefer that to my own.

I've got two guitars, an acoustic one (Landola) and an electric one (Maestro). I first got interested about them on the seventh grade, but after I got the electric guitar, I didn't really feel like playing anymore. I'm quite sure I would be able to learn to play well, it's just that I am so lazy that I quit everything. I probably wouldn't even make a good smoker.

Oh, and I have a Suzuki amp.

I've got a strat that I never use, but when I get around to it I'm going to pick up a parlor guitar that a friend never uses.

Those are cheap and easy shortcuts most of the time.

But I like the Way they sound when I turn the Bass down to 0 on my Amp.
And Turning the Tones down. Gives it the 50's Style sound I Like.

I would love to be able to play guitar, but I'm too lazy to even try. My friend rocks at it though.

A non-smoker is a good smoker =)

Yeah I have strat which I want to learn how to play, but I'm having trouble with it.

Be warned, children. Slight dirty language above. ^^

I've got a Strat, some acoustic, and a Yamaha Bass.

Bass = So much easier than a guitar.

I have a Squier (by Fender) Bullet Strat. It's blue green and I named it Poseidon.

..now if only I could play it.

But sometimes it's too expensive. I mean, 40 bucks an hour? Ridiculous. I wouldn't even ask my parents for that.
