Character design means the drawing of the penguins which are quite good. They don't have any emotion but you're unlikely to see a penguin with a manic smile.
Also, the character design is that same for paid and non-paid members.

It would be very creepy if the penguins were from Club Penguin, but as Bjorn Harlan pointed out, it could be a plan of Ioji's.

1. the penguins look nothing like the ones from cp, they're cylinder (kinda)
shaped when the shaped penguins are fat and round.
2. and seriously, lay off club penguin, its a pretty good game, sure , it could be better , but its quite fun.

People bash CP and other stuff because they prefer warbears, i was once a CP veteran (believe it or not), and left because it got boring. Never pay for an online community, so what if it gives you 'cool, new' items? There not worth it. Warbears outclasses CP with a ration of 7.97478:0.65348.
I like decimals.
On topic though, so what if the penguins are from CP? They all originate from a common ancestor.

Honestly, I really don't see what the origin of the penguins have to do with anything since the games are still mainly about the warbears. |
