I'm an ENFP. It was my first result and it bothered me at first so I took the quiz a few more times and read about the other jung types, but then I read through more of the ENFP stuff and it's definitely what I am; it's extremely fitting. c: |

Did anyone find anything spot on about their personality type? I found out in INFP, according to personalitydesk,
"Typically unconventional, Healers often develop an offbeat personal style and enjoy expressing themselves with creative pursuits like writing or art."
and also an Artist is one of the top career choices among INFP, so I thought that was really surprising. _________________

Actually, MBTI type can't be assesed using tests. As a matter of fact, tests are there to confuse the heck out of you. Tests use generalizations about functions to form a conclusion (e.g. Oh, I'm a Judger because I always get things done. Not. The only thing J indicates is that your first extroverted function is a Judging - Feeling or Thinking - function). Secondly, the names themselves can be downright misleading at times. We're all thinkers, feelers, intuitors and sensors. The only difference is the stacking of functions and how we use these functions. I'm an INTP and this is how my functions go:
Thinking(Introverted-Dominant)
Intuition(Extroverted-Auxiliary)
Sensing(Introverted-Tertiary)
Feeling(Extroverted-Inferior)
There is a huge difference between Introverted Thinking and Extroverted Thinking. Introverted thinking, simply put, values knowledge for its sake. It creates an internal model where everything is placed categorically and analyzes knowledge until exhaustion. Extraverted thinking gets more done because it's focused outside, meaning it wants results.
Of course, MBTI is still highly theoretical. |
