Chess is a Serious game that you must seriously use your mind to win.
Unlike the children games you suggested, Chess has international competitions, World Champions, and people who devote their entire life to.
Physical means you use your body to play, You use your mind to play Chess. More then you would Checkers or Connect Four and Just Quizes......
Chess is a very serious game that is being Considered for the 2012 Summer Olympics.
