The problem is too many people are jumping on this bandwagon thinking it will get them some recognition, like being able to post a newsletter thread in Collaboration is the closest alternative to posting official comics in the Comics section. If you want to have a successful newsletter then you really need to be able to contribute something new and clever that nobody else has thought of. Competent editing ability wouldn't go amiss either.
I like the idea of an official newsletter team with the community supplying its content by PMing their stories, comics, etc. to an "editor". Ultimately I think one or two people would need to have creative control over the the finished product so that (like Warts has said) it's not a mishmash of different styles. Bjorn and/or Knyh are the obvious candidates for this. |

I like it but I agree, it's depressing, I'm going to make my next review positive! |

If we did create one single newsletter, would existing newsletter creators be prepared to stop creating their original one to work on the collaborated one?
Also, what name would it have? _________________ The Bedtime Grapevine |

In my opinion, if people want to collaborate together then it's maybe a good idea, however if people wish to work alone that's allowed. |

This is called collaboration for a reason, I reckon joining forces would be a great idea! |

It would, but there could be some conflict over who does what. |

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
If we made a collaborative one then of course there would be conflict, but it will take time to gel together |

If this does come about I'll volunteer myself as editor, but I'm not too sure about giving up WTHIT.
Perhaps a few pages of newsletter would be a good idea? _________________
