To make sure people who want to create a group just for the sake of it should know there are already a lot and to inform newcomers that they shouldn't make topics for groups that are having fun, on the forums.

I believe RISE was the first group. Excluding the groups in Role Play.

Actually, it was CSU first, then ATFY (which was a secret group before launching into public), then RISE.
