The Guest House was a location that guests could visit without having to make an account - to see how everything worked in the game. It was great - they couldn't leave the guest house, but other people could visit it!! Everybody said the Guest House was just a pain in the butt but recent studies shows otherwise

I like the idea but the guest house needs some pzazz like buying a drink of wine from there or a little mini game of some sort.

The site is free to use and sign up for; there's absolutely no reason for it to have even existed.

Hey if you made this site free you knew that people are going to be bugging you to add improvements to it. Gawd

he actually meant that since you can just sign up and you don't have to pay to sign up, why do that?

personally, I like to check out what I'm doing before going through the effort to sign up and giving my email away and that crap

Mmmh..

I mean if you're interested by the whole website and the social networking side of the site, you're likely to register anyway. I was very convinced to register without needing to look at BTC anyway.

Besides it didn't represent BTC in the slightest and because it was never moderated properly (because there was no point in moderating it) it presented the community as hostile and uncivil. Plus because regular members hardly used it anyway there would only be about 2 guests in it at any one time which is silly really.

As I said, if it was a paid service then sure, see what you're paying for. But because it's free to sign-up for and the amount of emails you get from the site is practically nothing, there's no point for its existence and really it's more of a burden on server space and bandwidth.

I'd take it without the guests to be honest, I thought it was just a really nice looking place and it was a shame it went to waste because of a few bad eggs.

Yeah variety does the trick. Hell all it takes for everyone to get rowdy in here is the biannual news section update.

The guest house, as a thing with guests, I don't see that returning. Mostly because (from what I've been told) it made moderation far too difficult as people could just come back into the GH.

However, I could see the location being used as a normal location, rather than as a guests-welcome area.

As for the 'normal location' thing, do you mean something similar to the Bar or the Lava Lounge? If so, I'd totally like to see at least something new of that nature, whether it be of an entirely new location or simply a renovation/add-on to a previously available location, such as a new room in the Bar, Park, or Lava Lounge.

As for the subject of this thread, I actually kinda liked the Guest House but seeing the comments against it, I can see from another's perspective as to why it wouldn't be such a pleasant idea to bring it back exactly as it was prior to Bedtime City's unfortunate demise.
