Hmm, so does BS modding deserve a CA or not?

My argument is that things that are against the rules should not be encouraged, BS modding is against the rules. Therefore no collab award.

But there are of course the valid arguments that we only started debating it after it was over and I may have accidentally made it seem to Lolbear that he would get one.

I don't think it should count for those reasons you gave, it's just unfortunate for Lolbear it was after he'd won we decided breaking the rules isn't a good reason for getting a CA.

And I should get the 3 I am owed for the Bearies.

Talk about unnecessary.

The award is a joke, besides, BS modding is contributing more than a lot of people do. The award is for something frowned upon, but it's still technically collaboration, soo.....

I think that the above is why nobody asked about it, 'incompetent' just makes people feel like idiots, that word is almost as bad as the word hate.

Give it to him, he does deserve it, in a way.

@Crazyone: Aww, but I love all of you soo much *enter big smile*

Back to the discussion, it's questionable, but make an exception for this now. The next BS mod winner won't get an collab. award then.

Ok, seriously, just give Lolbear my collaboration award.

What, you think I didn't get one? Think again, I've won it fair and square. (click)

Reporter, you're making a big deal over something unnecessarily small.

You're going the right way for people to hate you.

But this is not the question.

Feel free to hate me if you want, but I do think that Lolbear deserves it. What is the problem not to give him the award?

Hm, does Lolbear really feel he deserves one? I think though due to the confusion I will put his name down this year. Any other year though the person who wins Worst BS mod prize or equivalent will not receive one.

So we break the rules just so we can punish people who break the rules in order to enforce rules such as the rule they were kinda breaking in the first place. Got it. Also, random hate bandwagon against Reporter? I don't think so! If we can't have people enforcing rules by themselves in that way how on Earth are we supposed to have the new guy go around enforcing rules for the previous rule enforcer's benefit! It kinda makes perfect sense ya'll: We're covering up for our own mess! Apparently the means (In this case, Rule Breaking) only seem to be justified by the end (Rule Enforcement) when the end itself is basically just used as means to a way more important end (Us not being jealous anymore I GUESS) which obviously justifies everything because c'mon this is our ego we're talking about - the friggin' top of the pyramid.

Also how come this reeks of irony all over

Okies everybody chill

Firstly, the award can't be retracted after the event has taken place; it was stated numerous times beforehand that the winner was to receive it, and whether that choice was wrong is irrelevant as it would be wrong to deny it of him

Secondly, I would like to think that the other moderators would generally agree with me when I say that 'backseat moderating' is a pretty rare occurrence these days, and any instructing/directing etc that is done is almost always done in a respectful and polite manner. Considering this, I believe Lolbear's winning of the award is largely a positive thing, I for one can't remember an occasion when I found his behaviour anything but helpful (but then my memory is terrible, heh)

Lastly, wrong place to argue about this matter, and now Tak's perfectly attractive thread is all messy, honestly!

I'd like the case to be closed please, or at least go and, civilly, discuss it on the Beary thread

Thanks, could the award then be renamed to 'Most Helpful Member' next time round? Just to make sure there is no outcry over the winner getting a beary.

It could be named both, because people like the title. It's lighthearted and funny.
