These questions have been answered to the best of my knowledge and ability of searching these forums. There may be one or two things which may not be perfectly correct, or worded very good. But rest assured I will be updating this guide fairly regularly.

Note that this guide is getting increasingly longer. Hit Ctrl + F and type in a keyword, for example: Link, House, Credits, Whisper. If no results are found, try manually scrolling down and looking for it. If you can't find find the question you are looking for, post in this thread or PM me.

---------------------

Q: What is the journal?
A: The journal is located on the right hand side when in a public area or the Secret Location. It enables you to view things others have said, see who else is with you in the area, and see what items you have.

Q: Where is the Secret Location (SL)?
A: Nobody is allowed to ask for, or give out any hints/answers for the SL. If you can't find it yourself, you will have no hope once actually inside.

Q: What is the answer for level blah-blah in the Secret Location?
A: As mentioned above, "Nobody is allowed to ask for, or give our any hints/answers for the SL". Doing so will result in a warning or ban. The closest to a hint you can get on the forum is here.

Q: What/where can I find the rules?
A: In BTC, at the main screen, click the "BTC law!" button on the left. Alternatively, click here.

Q: How do I report people?
A: You must have 3000 award points and 10 daily visits. For more details go here. If you report somebody for no valid reason, you will end up with a warning yourself for "False reporting".

Q: I got reported! What happens now?!
A: Depending on the seriousness of the crime and how many warnings you have, you may receive one of the following: A warning, a temporary ban, or a permanent ban. A third warning will be a temporary ban, usually lasting for three days. Permanent bans are given out to more serious crimes, such as Cybering. The mods have access to chat logs, so if you genuinely did nothing wrong - you have nothing to fear.

Q: How do I get credits?
A: Credits are obtained by:
-Playing missions.
-Playing minigames.
-Playing Quizaboom.
-Playing the Secret Location.
-Becoming COTD (see below)
-Purchasing merchandise at the shop.

Q: How do I become a mod?
A: There is no system to apply to be a mod. With a long history of good behaviour, good grammar, and willingness to help others, your chances of becoming one will considerably increase. When a position is available, Ioji and the mods will discuss who is to be the next moderator. Asking to be one may considerably decrease your chances.

Q: What is a team and how do I join one?
A: Most teams require you to participate in some sort of activity. There are currently four teams, and as far as I know each new member is chosen (rather than asking to join):

Translators - To apply, post on this thread with an example of your translating abilities.

Comic Makers Union - To join, post an application on this thread containing one of your comics. You must be actively making comics and be able to post links.

Quizaboom Team (full) - No way to apply. You will be chosen by your skill, knowledge and frequency of your Quizaboom sessions.

Bug Hunters (full) - There is no way to apply. If you are active, helpful and have good knowledge in the Tech. forum, you will increase your chances of membership.

Q: How do I become Citizen of the Day (COTD)?
A: COTD is randomly generated, you never know who is going to be next. You can be a COTD more than once, and you also receive a small amount of credits for it!

Q: How do I get a house?
A: Linda's Real Estate is located in Bedtime City. Once BTC has loaded, her shop is located in the top right corner. She will happily sell you a house providing you have enough credits!

Q: How do I create a topic for my house?
A: Enter your house and try typing "/topic welcome to my house", without the quotation marks.

Q: How do I buy things in BTC?
A: There are numerous shops dotted around BTC. Furniture, clothes, wallpapers and comics are the four main things you can buy. Click on the item you want, and then the coin symbol. You will then have the item listed in the 'My things' section of the journal.

Q: How do I add friends?
A: Click on the person who you wish to be friends with, and click the 'Request Friendship' button. This will send a request to the person. If they accept, you will get a message in the journal.
You can also visit their profile and add them that way, but that method often goes unnoticed by most people.

Q: How do I whisper?
A: Click on the person you wish to whisper to, and then click the ear symbol*.
*There may be a requirement of award points and/or daily visits to do this.

Q: How do I change my face to a smile, sad, or one of the other faces?
Try typing either :) or :( into the chat box. You will notice your face has changed. For the full list, check out the
Hitchhikers guide to BTC

Q: How do I make the green writing in BTC?
A: Use the command /me. For example, try typing "/me says hello", without the quotation marks.

Q: Who is Ioji?
A: Gionatan Iasio (Ioji) is the great leader, who - through blood, sweat and toil - has created Warbears. Without him, you wouldn't be reading this. It is traditional amongst most people to worship him as a god.

Q: Who are the mods?
A: Active Mods
- Mochi Totoro (mochi)
- Rowena Svoltaire (rosiehill)
- Benjamin Burritos (Benjamin)
- Jeff Burritos (applepie24)
- Chase Smith (Locker)
- Niall Calothycos (NIALLDOTCOM)
- Mandy Mazinga (Mandy)
- Macncheez House (macncheezybear)

Inactive mods
- Jesse Totoro (weirdbro)
- Dan Smith (Dynos)
- Colin Anderson (ThatGuy)

Q: What do people mean by "BS modding"?
A: Everything you need to know is explained in detail here:Click.

Q: How do I post links on the forum?
A: Links can only be posted once you have obtained 100 forum posts. This is not an excuse to spam!

Q: Where can I host my images?
A: Photobucket, Imageshack, and TinyPic are the three most popular.

Q: I can post links, but my picture won't work!
A: A mod has to validate the link before the picture appears on the forum. This is to stop mass picture spamming.

Q: I've changed my signature/avatar, but it's not appearing!
A: Signatures need to be validated just like images, go to this thread, and be sure to read the first post, it's fairly straight forward. Once it has been validated, you will then need to tick the "Attach signature" everytime you make a post for it to appear.
Avatars also need to be validated, but you do not need to ask a mod to validate it. It will be done within a few days.

Q: I found a bug! Where can I post it?!
A: Firstly, read this thread: Click. If you have tried everything on that thread, post a new topic in this forum and be sure to explain it clearly: Click.

Q: I have an awesome idea/suggestion! Where can I post it?!
Here. Be sure to check out Stu's thread first to make sure it hasn't already been suggested.

Hm, pretty cool, Hunter. Smile

Although technically you should thank Pip instead of Poison, since he actually wrote the guide.

I think this should be put in the hitchhikers guide because then you would just be able to click on the link in BTC and then all the noobies would be able to see these FAQ's

That's what I thought aswell, but then I can't edit it whenever I want, and also it's a fairly large guide.
I'd really like a mod to help me out here, do I leave it as an individual thread or what? Eh?

Nicely done, but there are a few topics you'd probably like to address:
    Avatar/signature/validation
    Joining teams (I.E. Translating)
    Posting ideas and bugs

There are probably more out there Razz

The second can just be added to this section:

Quote:
Q: What is a club/team and how do I join one?
A: Most teams require you to participate in an activity. An example of a club is the Comic Makers Union (CMU), and to join you must be actively making comics. Different clubs have different methods of applying to join. For a better explanation of the requirements and how to join, try messaging one of the group leaders.
